GIANT MEATBALLS
These Giant meatballs are fork tender, comforting and cozy, it just hits the spot! They’re baked in the oven then added to zesty marinara sauce and topped with lots of melted cheese!
Giant Meatballs
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
2 slices white bread
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
3/4 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3/4 cup shredded mozzarella
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan
For the Marinara sauce
1/2 cup diced onions
3 garlic cloves, minced
28 oz can crushed tomatoes
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°
Tear bread into small pieces and combine with milk.
Combine ground beef, bread mixture, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Don’t over mix!
Form 2 large meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 35 minutes.
(Meanwhile make the sauce if using homemade)
Pour marinara sauce into a baking dish or use an oven safe skillet. Add meatballs and spoon over sauce. Sprinkle over mozzarella and top with Parmesan. Bake for another 10 minutes. Serve as or with garlic bread or pasta.
For the marinara sauce
Heat oil over medium heat, and sauté onions and garlic for 2-3 minutes.
Stir in oregano and basil.
Add crushed tomatoes, and season with 1 salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
Bring to a boil, then lower heat all the way down to low and let simmer for 10 minutes.

Cheesy Garlic Hawaiian Rolls
Ingredients
1 package Hawaiian rolls
1 stick butter, melted
2 garlic cloves, finely minced
3/4 teaspoon garlic salt
Optional - 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1 cup shredded mozzarella
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°
Combine butter, garlic, garlic salt, and parsley together in a bowl.
Place Hawaiian rolls into a baking dish. Cut slits down the middle of each row (do not cut all the way through) and stuff with mozzarella cheese.
Brush garlic butter over the top and bake for 12 minutes.
Note
I bake the bread during the last 12 minutes of cooking the meatballs so that they are both done at the same time.
