Young-Onset AD Family Story 🧠 SA AA/UT Summit {2025}

Annual Alamo Area Alzheimer's Association Assembly on 23 August 2025 (Saturday) at the University of Texas Health Science Center/UT Health San Antonio campus under the able auspices of the San Antonio & South Texas AA Chapter's Ms. Ginny Funk (Director of Programs | [email protected] | 210.634.0110) & Ms. Dianne Teran (Program Manager | [email protected] | 210.634.0113). 2025's bi-location conference theme was 'Better Together'.

☤ This special session for over 300 attendees [hybrid: on-line/in-person] were educated by the generous husband and wife team of Samuel and Heather Valverde who shared their very personal experience when Early (Younger) Onset Alzheimer's Disease was diagnosed for the decorated Marine and policeman. Followed up w/a Q&A session and a few words from conference sponsors: Helping Our Seniors and the Gonzaba Foundation. Concludes with a trio of local TV news spots from Fox and ABC affiliates.

🧠 These interactive didactics conversationally enlighten participants, providers and caregivers to better care for their aging patients and loved ones during their most trying of times. Primary language is English.
