🌿 Nutmeg & Mace (Jaiphal & Javitri)
Nutmeg (scientific name: Myristica fragrans) is a highly aromatic spice derived from the seeds of the nutmeg tree. The seed itself is called Nutmeg (Jaiphal), while the dried lacy covering around the seed is known as Mace (Javitri). Both belong to the family Myristicaceae and are widely used in Ayurveda, Unani, and traditional medicine for their potent therapeutic and culinary properties.
