Tomorrow, Beth McDonough, author and veteran journalist, will be dropping by The Mind of Sai Marie at 1 PM PST. Beth spent decades in television news covering some of the biggest stories of our time, from 9/11 to the 35W bridge collapse in Minneapolis, and the murder of George Floyd that sparked global protests. Her work took her to major TV markets including Philadelphia, Minneapolis, and Houston, and from the outside, she seemed to have it all.

But behind the scenes, Beth struggled with alcohol, leading to two DUI arrests and a very public firing that cost her career, home, and financial stability. Sixteen years later, she has recovered, remains sober, and shares her journey in her new book, Standby, offering hope and a path forward for anyone facing hardship.
