Forgot the house keyπŸ”’πŸ”‘β€¦ thank goodness for the lockbox πŸ™Œ (but wait… ALL the keys are in here?πŸ˜…)

Today I had one of those property manager moments β€” I forgot the key to the home I was going to inspect. πŸ˜… But thankfully, I had already placed a lockbox on the door with a spare key.

Crisis averted… right?

Well, here’s the twist: when I opened it, I didn’t just find one spare key. I found all the keys to the property sitting right there. πŸ‘€ That’s not exactly how it’s supposed to work.

πŸ’‘ Why this matters:

Lockboxes are meant for secure, controlled access, not for storing every key a property has.

Keeping too many keys in one place can create a security risk and weaken tenant trust.

As a property manager, it’s on me to keep things tight, professional, and safe β€” for both homeowners and tenants.

πŸ‘‰ Lesson of the day: always check what’s in the lockbox, don’t assume it’s just the spare. And never underestimate how much a lockbox backup can save you in the field.

Let’s Go! Let’s Get to Work! πŸ’ͺ
