WHAT IS 'FACT-CHECKING'?
Where Fake News is used to Debunk Real News

Every time I hear the words 'fact check' it makes my ass hurt. After all, what IS 'fact-checking'? It's the application of fake news used to debunk real news. If you will, it's when a liar doesn't want others to know she's a liar so, in a pre-emptive strike, the liar accuses truth-teller of being liar. Yes, this is the pot calling the kettle black.

It's a barely grown-up version of when two kids [let's call them Jack and Jill] are playing in the living room and Jack knocks a vase off the table shattering it to pieces. Without a moment's hesitation, Jack runs to his mother and says, "Mom, Jill broke a vase." Well, this is a lot like 'fact-checking' because everyone knows the first accusation of wrongdoing is almost always accepted. Anything Jill can say will be 'fake news' in the eyes of Mom or Dad.

It was back in the 2020 Trump vs. Clinton election when Hillary's camp came up with 'fact-checking'. Reaching back to their delinquent childhoods, Democrats took a lesson from Jack and Jill's Broken Vase.

Today there is a little more back-and-forth when it comes to 'fact checking', but it's still a key ploy based on a timeless strategy. Right now, the Democrats seem to be winning. Yes, a lie told loud enough and long enough will one day be regarded as truth.

What bothers me is just how many supposedly mature adults haven't caught on to this. Either they were only children, the firstborn, or they're just plain stupid. In any case, look at what's going on around you. Dig a little deeper into the facts, and you'll be surprised at what you come up with.
