God in his wisdom knew that as his creation, we could never be perfect in this fallen world. So he provided a way and a means to acquire perfection, through a perfect sacrifice for the whole world. However, we find that he wants a deeper relationship with us than we expected. A personal and intimate relationship as with a man and his wife. As to be one. He being perfect, and we being able to put on his perfection through the perfect sacrifice he provided. Knowing this, we as a people and nation now seek and crave this marriage to take place and to be with God forever in his Kingdom.
