This video likely proves the shot came from behind (possibly even two bullets from behind) you can clearly see in the super slow mo kirks shirt deform below the neck line this is where the necklace gets snapped causing it to violently tug and pull up kirks shirt at the front. Theres no armour plating so this is the only plausible explanation for his shirt lifting at the front.
