The late Charlie Kirk captured the attention of the younger generation. He was a political activist who championed America, free speech, and conservative politics. He and his organization, Turning Point USA, staged events to challenge ideas and would take on all questioners in the free exchange of ideas. He was a Christian and, in recent years, made clear presentations of the gospel during these open debates. But TPUSA wasn’t a Christian organization. It was a political organization that was headed up by a Christian. On September 10, 2025, Charlie Kirk was assassinated at a Turning Point event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. TPUSA has about 9,000 chapters as of that day. In the two days after his death TPUSA received 32,000 requests to start chapters.
