The Defilement of Dinah and Her Brothers’ Revenge

Dinah, the daughter of Jacob, is defiled by Shechem, the prince of the land. He seeks to marry her, but Jacob’s sons, filled with anger, deceive the men of the city by demanding circumcision. While they are in pain, Simeon and Levi strike, killing them all to avenge their sister. Jacob, however, fears the repercussions of this violent act among the surrounding nations.
