I’ve Been Hurt, and I Don’t Want to be Hurt Again

Jesus tells us that hurts/sins will remain if you do not forgive. “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.” (Matthew 6:14-15) Jesus teaches that God’s forgiveness toward us is directly connected to our willingness to forgive others. Forgiveness is not optional for His followers … it’s essential for receiving God’s mercy. God wants us to show the same mercy to others that He shows to us. When we forgive, we open our hearts to receive His forgiveness. Holding onto bitterness or grudges not only hurts our relationships. but also blocks us from fully experiencing God’s grace. Choosing to forgive is choosing freedom. Thanks for joining us for Lenny’s Corner. This is a Podcast Ministry of Dr. Lennard Stoeklen. | Lenny's Corner with Dr. Lennard Stoeklen | LennysCorner.com
