Because of the fear of being silenced or canceled, it has become difficult for us as a people to find the unadulterated truth.

Though there are many who attempt to speak on our behalf, they typically fall short. While attempting to speak on our struggles, they often incorporate political narratives and/or try to include the struggles of others, which minimizes our persecution and maltreatment.

By being so inclusive, they fail to say what needs to be said. Thus, our sorrow becomes watered down to being just one of many. In including everyone else’s struggle(s), they fail to acknowledge that the same people they include also have a history of participating in the abuse of our people and seize the opportunity to continue to do so.

I do not sugarcoat, seek to spare feelings, or do political correctness. What needs to be said is said.

Although, other can eat from these messages and walk away full, I need my people to know that this meal was prepared for them.

So, come break bread with me.
