WITT: “Yeah. Let’s talk about other world news, because Israel is facing new backlash for their Wednesday strike in Qatar, the IDF aimed to kill the leaders of Hamas, but they all survived. Trump is not happy about this attack, but is there a sense of when he found out? Was he able to warn Qatar before it happened? Do we know the sequence of events?”

BAKER: “I’m not read in on the sequence of events. He certainly has given the impression he did not know significantly in advance and disapproves of it. At the same time, it’s hard to imagine Netanyahu said he didn’t want the Americans to know because he didn’t want to have a tense debate with them. He didn’t want to, you know, to to have them push back. And he understood that they probably would. Qatar is not only the place where, you know, these negotiations have been held in terms of releasing the hostages and ending the war. It’s also the home of American military presence as well. And so it’s an ally of the United States. So it is a complicated place, no question. They’ve also been a haven for Hamas leadership over the years. But but Trump has wanted this war to end. And he, just like the war in Ukraine, has been unable to, you know, affect any kind of change there.”
