Why did Jesus tell Disciples to Buy a SWORD? | Sam Shamoun

In this video Christian apologists shows why the apostles of Jesus such as peter carried swords and even Jesus himself telling them to buy some when they were traveling . In the historical context during this time, there would be highway, bandits and thieves, robbing people of their possessions that they carried with them and is even mentioned in the Bible in the good Samaritan story where a person walks by and sees that they are getting robbed and helps them. Jesus emphasizes self defense is permissible through this and makes it clear when the disciples drew it out they were not told to get rid of it, but to put it away.
