New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani is now walking back his past statements calling the NYPD racist, following a trajectory similar to AOC's shift on Palestine after she won election. Guest host Misty Winston argues that Mamdani, like many progressives, is a political opportunist who abandons principles for career advancement, cozying up to establishment figures while softening his stances.

Misty stresses that even well-intentioned politicians either get assimilated into corruption or pushed out of office, citing Dennis Kucinich as an example.
