rally in London organized by Tommy Robinson, drew an estimated 3000000 people on Saturday, September 13, 2025, leading to significant clashes with police and the injury of at least 26 officers.
The event, named "Unite the Kingdom," was billed as a free-speech demonstration but became unruly in the late afternoon as a small group of supporters attempted to breach barriers separating them from a counter-protest.
The rival "March Against Fascism" protest, organized by Stand Up To Racism, attracted approximately 5,000 marchers.
The rally, organized by the far-right activist Tommy Robinson, who founded the English Defence League, was attended by a massive crowd that stretched from Big Ben across the River Thames and beyond Waterloo train station.
At least 25 people were arrested for offenses including violent disorder, assaults, and criminal damage, with police stating that many attendees were intent on violence.
The Metropolitan Police reported that 26 officers were injured during the clashes, including four with serious injuries such as broken teeth, a concussion, a possible broken nose, and a spinal injury.
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and owner of X, participated in the event via video link, condemning the UK government and labeling the left as "the party of murder".
Robinson's supporters carried flags of England and the UK, chanted slogans like "we want our country back" and "stop the boats," and paid tribute to the recently slain American right-wing activist Charlie Kirk.
The protest occurred amid heightened national debate over migration, following a summer of anti-migrant demonstrations, including violent protests outside hotels housing asylum-seekers.
The event was initially peaceful but turned violent in the late afternoon when Robinson's supporters threw cans and bottles at police and attempted to breach cordons, prompting the deployment of reinforcements with riot gear.
