This mid height and rather impressive modernistic floor lamp would be perfect in a New York loft style apartment, but looks stylish and attractive pretty much anywhere.

It arrived packaged in a surprisingly small but rather anonymous box, inside of which was the 30 cm diameter lamp shade, the power cable, E26 bulb mount and control pod bundle, the disassembled tripod legs and a multi language assembly guide. Also included was an attractive A19 style 600 lumens light bulb.

The shade and legs are all made from metal, black with a semi-matt finish, and seem well made and built to last. Various options are available for the shade but I selected the matte black exterior, gold interior version.

Assembly is easy enough. Personally, I decided just to follow my instinct rather than attempt to make sense of the poorly printed and hard to read install plan. Several height options are available depending on the number of leg tubes used, with the maximum height being 168 cm.

The lamp fitting takes an E26 Edison Screw bulb, and the provided one looks good and at 600 lumens, throws out a good coverage of light. Of course, you have the option to select your own bulb and any shade of white, full colour or even smart bulbs to work with it. The gold coating inside the lamp reflector will modify the light colour, so keep that in mind when selecting a bulb to use with it.

Once assembled and set it place, the lamp does look impressive and to my mind will look at its best in a large minimalist setting. The lamp comes with an in-line power and rotary dimmer control pod, which is a nice touch and probably easier than hunting for a small and hard to find button switch.

This is a stylish and rather impressive lamp that will look fantastic in the right setting. The build quality is excellent, robust and built to last, and the current £59.80 price is certainly not excessive for the quality of the item.
