GEFNFL 48th Season Week 1

[Week 1 - 9/12/2025]

Welcome back ladies and gentlemen!! To the 48th season of the GE Friday Night Football League!! (Note for those that are new and don't know the GE part of the name is just where this game originated from and has nothing to do with the actual company itself.) With that out of the way lets get this season started!!

The sun was out, and weather was pretty much perfect for a game of football, the only thing we could have done without was the swarms of mosquitos out on the field. We had enough players for a 6 vs 6 game. Blue team started with the ball and was quick to put up a touchdown before the camera crew could get settled in, and would continue to dominate this game all night long.. Despite Red team attempts to put together a couple really good drives. It was pretty clear after Blue team had scored their 4th or 5th touchdown that the guys on Red team hadn't been at practice camp at all over the summer. (We can call this first game the preseason slump)

With Blue team dominating the field so well on this game. They had a lot of awesome plays, but the one notable play that stuck out to me was Bill Brownings touchdown pass to Jose Chavez which was a endzone to endzone play. Blue was pinned at the Red Teams endzone Bill drop the ball into Jose's hands and Jose busted it past every Red Team defender taking it all the way to the house.

We unfortunately did have one injury on the field. Bill Browning after making an awesome catch that got Blue team in range for another touchdown on the very next play. He unfortunately landed badly on his shoulder after the catch, breaking his collarbone and had to be brought to the ER. All of us here in the GEFNFL are praying Bill has a speedy recovery .

Overall the game was an awesome game to start the GEFNFL's 48th season
