SBC Family,

This has been a hard week. Charlie Kirk murdered in open murder. The whole world is coming apart at the seams. People applauding murder. That is the end of Romans 1:32, "although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them" (yes, murder is in the list, 1:29). If you can't defeat their arguments just murder them. Whether they are nice or not is irrelevant. Saul did the same to Stephen (Acts 6-7). Herod the Fox did the same to John the Baptist (Matt. 14). Herod had his head cut off, put on a platter for the daughter of Herodias. Then they continued with her birthday party. Herod was sexually immoral and John wouldn't shut up about it so it pleased him to put him to death.

In this world you will have tribulation, take courage, I have overcome the world - Jn. 16:33

The world hated Me before it hated you. - Jn. 15:18

When they say Charlie and Christians use hate speech, what they mean is truth speech. They re-define the truth as hate because they are of their father the devil, who is a liar.

"You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father, He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. - Jn. 8:44

"Do not be surprised, brethren, if the world hates you." - 1 Jn 3:13

People wonder "Why? Why did this happen? He was reaching so many people." Charlie was done doing what God wanted Him to do. Before the Flood Enoch walked with God and was not, for God took him. Sometimes a person is so effective God wants them to be with Him, or the person completed their entire life's work in just 31 years and God takes them home. He took James the brother of John and He left Peter (Acts 12). Paul wanted to go, but it was better for those he ministered to if he stayed. Every one of us eventually goes. We don't know the answers at this point.

Charlie Kirk is in heaven now. His poor wife and children. We pray for God's sustaining grace. God will never forget.

We can be glad that the murderer has been arrested. Now we can pray that the State of Utah will carry out the death penalty (Gen 9:5-6). The death penalty was never rescinded. Jesus affirmed it (Mt. 26:52). We don't need an investigation as to why. That will not solve the problem. We know why. People are sinners and they let their sin nature control them, they give into it rather than believe the gospel and get right with God. God said we need to see the consequences of murder; a swift execution. It's a deterrence of murder because the murderer can never murder anyone else. Every person is made in the image of God and murder is the destruction of the image of God.

I am not optimistic that the Charlotte murderer or the Utah murder or any of these murderers (across our land many people are murdered every week) will face the death penalty and be executed, but it is a major problem in our country that these murderers are not executed swiftly. Let God be found true and every man a liar.

Murder is abhorrent and creates fear and danger for everyone. Lord please, come (Marana tha).

See attached notes.

All my love,
Jeremy
