Avalanche DESTROYED World’s Steepest Tram in Utah

Bridal Veil Falls in Provo Canyon, Utah is a place where beauty collides with tragedy. Once home to the world’s steepest tramway and a mountaintop lodge with sweeping views of the roaring waterfall, the dream ended in disaster. On New Year’s Day 1996, an avalanche ripped it all apart. A fire in 2008 finished the job, leaving nothing but memories and a scar on the mountainside.

Today, there are no cables, no lodge, no tram climbing into the sky. Just the falls themselves, tumbling down in a raw, untamed roar. You can still hike the easy trail to the base, feel the spray on your face, and try to imagine what it was like when people rode into the clouds here. Nature gives, nature takes, and this place is proof. Bridal Veil Falls remains—stripped of spectacle but still unforgettable.
