Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant | Tribute to Charlie Kirk

This week has been heavy. Like so many of you, I have felt everything from sadness to deep anger over the assassination of Charlie Kirk. His loss leaves a wound, but his life leaves a legacy.

Charlie sought to walk in the shadow of Christ. He lived as a servant, putting the needs and concerns of others above his own. His voice spoke with courage, but his heart beat with humility. He showed what it means to live out Matthew 20:26, “Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.”

Though we grieve, we do not grieve as those without hope. 2 Timothy 4:7 reminds us, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” Charlie ran his race with boldness. Now he rests in the arms of the Savior.

To every young person who looked to him for guidance, take comfort in Jesus’ words from John 14:27: “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

This tribute song is for Charlie, but it is also for you. May it remind us all to carry the torch of faith, to love others more than ourselves, and to look forward to hearing those words one day: “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
