On Campus. 12 Sep 25

Had some great talks today but I was only able to have this one on camera. Things feel a bit different on campus today. Maybe it’s just me but they do. Charlie Kirk (an American Christian martyr) was murdered in Utah on 10 September. Iryna Zarutska (a young Ukranian immigrant in the US) was murdered in North Carolina on 22 August, but I only saw the word break about her around 8 September. These things have been in the real news a lot. It’s been a lot, and I know that I’ve not slept well in the last few days thinking about the kingdom of God and what I can do. I think that maybe many people are feeling the weight of these two murders. We are a people in turmoil, and I firmly believe that we have been given over to our depravity by God. Romans 1 talks both about us today and primarily first century Rome, Italy. It’s not that we are going to be given over if we don’t make some changes, no, we’re far beyond that now. We have been given over. In our rejection of the truth, we have been sent mass delusion by God (see 2 Thessalonians 2 for an example) to be destroyed. This is why we’re in the state we’re in. The Gospel is the solution. God is still saving, God is still sending, but the red stripes on our flag, to me, even as a veteran of 26 years of service, represent the blood of the innocent now. We all know it’s happening. And where are the churches?! As a nation we’ve murdered over 60,000,000 kids in abortion in just about my lifetime in far more brutal ways than either Kirk or Zarutska were taken but there aren’t videos on the news. Those kids don’t have names. They have few voices crying out for them. Abortion is the issue of our day politically. To me, nothing else comes close. It’s not that nothing else matters, it’s just that nothing else comes close. It must end. Murder of kids must become illegal again, and women have no right to do it under God. I pray for mercy on my people, but it is indeed a mercy we only despise as a people. This is a good long talk about the Gospel, the nature of man, the subject of abortion, the LGBTPPPFBQAI plague, and some other topics. So many people are in the place of Sandro. They’re thinking, they’re looking, and they’re considering Christ in the world. We need to be out there stirring up our thoughts and prayers in every circle of life- in the church, in our politics, and in our families.

God bless!!!
