🚨 #HassanAccident | Tragedy during Ganesh idol immersion procession in #Karnataka

1️⃣ A speeding truck lost control near Mosalehosalli, Hassan and rammed into devotees.
➡️ 5 people died on the spot
➡️ 3 more succumbed in hospital
➡️ Death toll now 9, over 20 injured.

2️⃣ Eyewitnesses: The truck driver tried to avoid a bike, but ploughed into the tail of the procession.

👥 Victims include several youths; visuals of the mishap have shocked locals.

✅ CM Siddaramaiah: ₹5 lakh for kin of deceased + full medical expenses for injured.
✅ PM Modi: ₹2 lakh ex-gratia for families of deceased, ₹50,000 for injured.
