Blessings | Curses
This video explores the ultimate choice placed before all humanity — blessing or cursing — and how it all centers on choosing good or evil. The blessing is not merely an earthly inheritance for Abraham’s physical descendants, but the eternal promise given to Abraham through his Seed — the Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus). All who choose life in Him are grafted into that promise, restored to eternal life, and called to walk as children of light.
This blessing is not just a belief in words, but a living faith revealed through our works — walking in the good works God prepared beforehand for us and keeping His commandments as evidence of our love for Him. Those who reject this gift and choose evil receive the curse — to be cut off and cast into the lake of fire. Yet this choice is set before all mankind, and God desires that all would choose life.
We will also uncover how this eternal choice is reflected in the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), when two goats are set apart: one bearing the sins of the people into the wilderness (cut off), and the other offered before God. This prophetic picture points to the atoning work of Yeshua as the only way to escape the curse and enter the blessing.
Finally, we will see how the “true fast” God desires is not empty ritual, but a life of mercy — freeing the oppressed, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and showing compassion. Choosing Yeshua, walking in goodness, keeping His commandments, and helping others fulfills the true meaning of the Day of Atonement and leads to the blessing of eternal life, while rejecting Him leads only to the curse of eternal separation.
