They Said the Home 🏡 Was Ready… But Look What I Found! 😬

Today I came to prepare this home for a new tenant’s move-in. The previous resident told me everything was cleared out and the house was ready to go.

Well… guess what I found when I got here? 👀

This is why pre-move-in inspections are so important. Even when owners or previous tenants say the property is “all set,” you can’t take that at face value. As a property manager, it’s my job to double-check every corner before handing over the keys.

Here’s what today’s inspection showed:

🧹 Leftover items or trash that should’ve been removed

🛠️ Maintenance issues that still need attention

🔑 Security checks to make sure locks and access points are safe

📸 Documenting everything for both the homeowner and my records

💡 Why it matters:

Protects the homeowner’s investment by keeping the property move-in ready

Prevents unhappy tenants who expect a clean, functional home on day one

Keeps everything professional and avoids disputes down the line

At the end of the day, my job is to deliver a property that matches the lease expectations. And that means going in myself, inspecting thoroughly, and solving problems before tenants arrive.

What I found today proves once again — always trust, but verify.
Let’s Get to Work! Let’s Go! 💪
