Welcome to Day 3 of 7 in The Way of Jesus in a Divided World!

So far, we’ve seen that Jesus is our peace and that He calls us to be peacemakers.
But what happens when the pressure comes from leaders and politics we can’t control?

In John 19, Jesus stood before Pilate, a Roman governor who had the power to free Him or crucify Him.
The crowd was shouting, leaders were scheming, and Pilate demanded answers.
And Jesus said:
“You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above.” – John 19:11

Even when it looked like human rulers held all the power, Jesus reminded us that God’s authority is greater than any political system or leader.

Today, politics can feel overwhelming, but Jesus shows us that no matter how chaotic it gets, God is still in control.

Before you let fear or frustration take over, pause and ask yourself:

“Am I trusting in politics—or in the King above every king?”
