Loggerhead Reef, off the coast of Jupiter, Florida, is one of the region’s most celebrated dive sites, known for its vibrant marine life and stunning underwater landscapes. Stretching for nearly two miles, this reef system sits in the Gulf Stream’s path, where warm, clear currents nurture a thriving ecosystem. Divers are greeted with a colorful expanse of corals, sponges, and sea fans swaying in the flow, while schools of snapper, grunts, and jacks weave in and out of the structure.

The reef’s name hints at one of its most famous seasonal visitors: the loggerhead sea turtle. During the summer months, these massive creatures are frequently spotted gliding gracefully over the reef or resting in its sandy ledges. Alongside them, hawksbill and green sea turtles also make appearances, giving divers unforgettable encounters with some of the ocean’s most iconic species.

Loggerhead Reef is also renowned for its encounters with large marine animals.
