AWS promotes its Certified Cloud Practitioner badge as a symbol of credibility. They say it proves you understand how their cloud works, how it empowers startups, enterprises, and even governments.
It’s supposed to represent trust. Fluency. Security.
But here’s the contradiction: while AWS sells this image of trust, their own infrastructure was used to power large-scale fraud — and they failed to stop it.”
The Cloud Practitioner certification is marketed as the first step in building a career in the cloud.
AWS highlights it as evidence that professionals can be trusted with the world’s most powerful infrastructure.
Yet behind the polished image, the reality is clear: AWS hosted criminal infrastructure, ignored abuse reports, and kept billing operators while victims suffered.”
So the question is simple:
What does the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner badge really represent?
A promise of trust, or a mask covering negligence that enabled global fraud?
That’s why I keep speaking out. Because the certification may sell trust, but the evidence shows something very different.
