"Sewer Issues" Track Preview || What If The Blob Re-Make Was Rescored with different music?

This my rescore of a scene from the 1988 The Blob Remake as part of my upcoming concept album "Horror Rescored 4". I am currently finishing up rescoring the entire movie so the musical themes heard in this track are developed throughout the album.

It is a complete rescore of the the 1998 remake of The Blob. The music in this track accompanies the scene that occurs in the sewer after Meg and the two boys escape the movie theater and are lost in the sewer system. The blob makes its presence known by sucking a rat off a floating piece of cardboard. That's when this cue begins and persists and builds as the action follows their attempts to escape and the eventual rescue by Flagg on a motorcycle. A lot more happens in the scene but I don't want to spoil anything.

The music heard here is all my original ideas and bares no resemblance to the music in the movie - no copyrighted or existing material from the original score is present. I approached it as if I had been the original composer hired.

This project has taken longer than anticipated as everytime I go to work on it I end up getting assignments. Well, now that I have no more work coming my way, I am finishing this album. With these track previews I am simplifying them as all the effort I put into the more animated intros and outros doesn't seem to really matter to anyone. Also, since the internet is cracking down more on the use of any imagery (stills or video) as any accompanying visual and I keep getting copyright notices. So I will start using Chat GPT to create graphic novel interpretations of the scenes and use those as a visual reference for the scene the music is accompanying.

Enjoy! And if you are a filmmaker and like my music, consider hiring me for your projects.
