Charlie Kirk - Conservative Youth Movement Leader Assassinated | DEEP FOCUS with John Kiriakou

Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist and close ally of U.S. President Donald Trump, was assassinated on Wednesday during a college event in Utah. Officials have recovered the firearm they believe was used in the shooting. This Episode was filmed while the manhunt was underway for the shooter who killed Kirk.

Video posted to social media from Utah Valley University shows Kirk speaking into a handheld microphone while sitting under a white tent with the slogans "The American Comeback" and "Prove Me Wrong." A single shot is heard and Kirk can be seen reaching up with his right hand as a large volume of blood gushes from the left side of his neck.

Kirk was speaking at a debate hosted by his nonprofit political organization. Before the shooting Kirk was taking questions from the audience about mass shootings and gun violence. About 3,000 people were in attendance, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety.
