Welcome to No BS Faith! In this raw and unfiltered testimony, I open up about my journey from a troubled youth filled with drugs, alcohol, and sin, to finding true redemption through Christ. Despite facing false accusations, plea bargains, prison time, and ongoing adversity, God's grace has transformed my life. Now, nearly three years out, I'm thriving with a stable home, my own car, online college, and a new name: Shawn Josiah Covenant.Key highlights:My early acceptance of Christ at a Baptist boarding school and the visible power of the Holy Spirit.
Struggles with the U.S. justice system, including plea bargaining disparities (as detailed in Dan Canon's book "Pleading Out").
Cycles of sin, prison, and rediscovering faith—memorizing Bible verses, hymns, and building a community of believers who stand for Israel.
Lessons from mistakes, carrying a "thorn in the flesh," and serving the Lord today.

As quoted from "Pleading Out" by Dan Canon: “Plea bargaining is the primary way – indeed, almost the only way – in which criminal cases are resolved in the United States. 97 percent of US criminal convictions are by guilty plea, and the vast majority of those are a result of a plea bargain.” Justice Kennedy called it "the criminal justice system" itself. The system disproportionately affects low-income people, with overworked attorneys and judges pushing for quick resolutions.Link to the book: https://www.amazon.com/Pleading-Out-Bargaining-Permanent-Criminal/dp/1541674677If this story resonates, hit LIKE, SUBSCRIBE for more no-BS faith talks, and COMMENT below: What's your testimony?
