The Devil Caught By His Own Trap | Job 18:7–9 Explained, KJV, Rightly Dividing

Job 18:7–9 warns of the downfall of the wicked:
“The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down. For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare. The gin shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him.”

For 6,000 years, Satan has carved strong steps in religion, building what looks secure. But Scripture says those steps will collapse, turning into a mudslide with no footing. The Devil’s own counsel will cast him down, just as Haman’s gallows turned back on him.

The Bible shows that every trap set by the wicked will catch themselves. The Devil is walking into God’s snare, caught by his own feet, taken by the heel, and defeated by the power of Jesus Christ. In the end, the “god of this world” loses everything — and the true God prevails.

This message reveals the law of sowing and reaping, the weakness of Satan’s schemes, and the certainty of Christ’s victory.
