Correcting an earlier mistake. The 63-3 loss to Austin Peay two years ago was the worst loss in modern ETSU football history, but in the earliest days of the program they suffered three worse.

1923- 72-0 loss to Maryville, 108-0 to King.
1926- Carson Newman 74, State Teachers College, East Tennessee 0.
