Jesus' life vs. Hindu deities, misconceptions and historical evidence

Sandeep converted to Christianity after comparing the evidence and morality of Jesus' life to that of the lives of Hindu deities like Krishna and Shiva. (Shiva being an incarnation of Vishnu. Along with Brama, Krishna and Vishnu make up the Hindu trinity.) It was the lack of morality and evidence of these Hindu deities that led Sandeep to Christ.

While it is popular to point out the evils of Islam, Hinduism has quietly crept into our society and for that reason, is more dangerous. Shiva Wandering Naked in the Woods Where Followers' Wives Hug Him:

Śiva Purāṇa (Rudra Samhita 2.9.28-32, abridged translation):

"Standing there and holding his penis he began to show all sorts of vicious tricks. It was with a mind to do something pleasing to the forest-dwellers that Śiva, favourite of the devotees, came to the forest at his will. The wives of the sages were extremely frightened at this sight. [...] [The wives] were enchanted by his beauty and began to hug and embrace him, forgetting their household duties."

Krishna Stealing the Clothes of the Gopis While Bathing:

Śrīmad Bhāgavatam, Canto 10, Chapter 22, Verses 1–46ŚB 10.22.1

Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: During the first month of the winter season, the young unmarried girls of Gokula observed the vow of worshiping Goddess Kātyāyanī. For the entire month they ate only unspiced, boiled rice.ŚB 10.22.2–3
Every day at dawn, those young girls would go to the Yamunā River to bathe, bringing with them prepared foods to offer the goddess. Desiring to obtain Śrī Kṛṣṇa as their husband, they would then worship her with this prayer: “O goddess Kātyāyanī, O great potency of the Lord, O possessor of great mystic power and mighty controller of all, please make the son of Nanda Mahārāja my husband. We offer our obeisances unto you.”ŚB 10.22.4
In this way the young girls of the cowherd community, their minds fully fixed on Śrī Kṛṣṇa, continued their vow throughout the month of Mārgaśīrṣa, chanting the glories of the Lord.ŚB 10.22.5
Once, at the end of the month, they went to bathe in the Yamunā, leaving their garments on the bank, as they had done before.ŚB 10.22.6
The girls, intent on their worship, began to sport in the water, singing about Kṛṣṇa.ŚB 10.22.7
One day they came to the riverbank and, putting aside their clothing as they had done before, happily played in the water while singing the glories of Kṛṣṇa.ŚB 10.22.8
Lord Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead and master of all masters of mystic yoga, was aware of what the gopīs were doing, and thus He went there surrounded by His young companions to award the gopīs the perfection of their endeavor.ŚB 10.22.9
Taking the girls’ garments, He quickly climbed to the top of a kadamba tree. Then, laughing with His boyfriends, He addressed the girls.ŚB 10.22.10
Kṛṣṇa said: “O girls, you may each come here as you wish and take back your garments. I’m telling you the truth and am not joking with you, since I see you’re fatigued from executing austere vows.”ŚB 10.22.11
The girls were ashamed and embarrassed, but since they were very eager to get their garments, they looked at one another and smiled.ŚB 10.22.12
When they did not come out of the water, out of shyness, Kṛṣṇa again spoke to them: “If you do not come here, however, I shall go away with your garments. Now do as you think best.”ŚB 10.22.13
The gopīs, who had placed their clothes on the bank of the river, suddenly saw them gone. Looking this way and that, they could not see their clothes anywhere.ŚB 10.22.14
Seeing their bashful, smiling faces and their fearful glances, Lord Kṛṣṇa, who is affectionate to His devotees, was pleased and spoke to them as follows.ŚB 10.22.15
Śrī Kṛṣṇa said: “O girls, come here and take your garments. Why are you hesitating? What is the use of your shyness before Me?”ŚB 10.22.16
The girls, shivering from the cold, came out of the water with their hands covering their private parts, their eyes lowered in shame.ŚB 10.22.17
Seeing the girls approaching in that way, the Supreme Lord, who is affectionate to His devotees, was pleased and smiled. He then placed their garments on the branches of the tree.ŚB 10.22.18
The gopīs said: “O infallible one, please give us back our clothes. We are shivering from the cold, and we are so ashamed because of our condition, O Lord of the universe!”ŚB 10.22.19
“Please do not deal with us so cruelly, O most magnanimous one! You are celebrated as the knower of religious principles. Please fulfill our desire and return our garments.”ŚB 10.22.20
The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: “I will give you your garments, O beautiful girls, but first you must come here one by one with your hands raised above your heads.”ŚB 10.22.21
Kṛṣṇa, who felt great affection for them, again spoke: “Because while executing a vow you bathed in the water naked, you have committed an offense against the demigods, and to counteract it you should offer obeisances with joined palms. Then your vow of austerity will achieve its full result.”ŚB 10.22.22
The gopīs, understanding that this was actually the Supreme Lord’s instruction for their benefit, did exactly as Śrī Kṛṣṇa advised them.ŚB 10.22.23
Coming out of the water with their palms joined, they offered their obeisances to the Lord. Their naked bodies were shivering, and they stood with their heads bent down in shame.ŚB 10.22.24
The Supreme Personality of Godhead, seeing them in that condition, was satisfied. Out of compassion He returned their garments and spoke to them.ŚB 10.22.25
Śrī Kṛṣṇa said: “O girls, I am satisfied with you. Your offense in bathing naked has been counteracted by your obeisances to Me, and the result of your vow has now been fulfilled.”ŚB 10.22.26
“Indeed, the demigods, being pleased by your austerity, will grant you the benediction you desire. Now go back to your homes, O slender-waisted girls, and in due course of time you will meet Me again.”ŚB 10.22.27
Thus having been instructed by the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the young girls, their desire fulfilled, returned to their homes, constantly thinking of Śrī Kṛṣṇa.ŚB 10.22.28
Some time later, Lord Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, surrounded by His cowherd boyfriends, tended the cows and, desiring to enjoy in the forest, entered it.ŚB 10.22.29–30
When the summer season arrived, the cowherd boys and Kṛṣṇa wandered in the forest, which was full of green trees and creepers, and resonant with the sounds of bees and birds. The trees offered shade, and the clear streams flowing from the hills cooled the ground.ŚB 10.22.31
In that forest, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, along with the cowherd boys, tended the cows, playing His flute. The gopīs, remembering their previous pastimes with Him, felt great separation.ŚB 10.22.32
Śrī Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: When the gopīs saw Kṛṣṇa sporting in the forest with His friends, they described His activities in song, remembering how He had stolen their garments.ŚB 10.22.33
One gopī said: “O friends, how wonderful are the pastimes of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, who stole our clothes while we bathed naked in the Yamunā, desiring to worship the goddess Kātyāyanī!”ŚB 10.22.34
Another gopī said: “He climbed the tree with our garments and, smiling with His friends, spoke to us, who were shivering in the cold water, asking us to come and take them.”ŚB 10.22.35
Another said: “When we hesitated, He threatened to leave with our clothes, and seeing our shyness, He laughed with His friends, making us come out of the water.”ŚB 10.22.36
Another gopī said: “He asked us to come one by one with hands raised above our heads, saying that we had offended the demigods by bathing naked.”ŚB 10.22.37
Another said: “Following His instructions, we came out of the water, offered our obeisances, and He, being satisfied, mercifully returned our garments.”ŚB 10.22.38
Another gopī said: “He said our offense was nullified and our vow fulfilled, and He promised that we would meet Him again in the future.”ŚB 10.22.39
Another said: “How merciful is Śrī Kṛṣṇa, who took pity on us and returned our garments, even though we were shivering and ashamed!”ŚB 10.22.40
Another gopī said: “Now He is wandering in the forest with His friends, playing His flute, and we are remembering Him, unable to forget His charming smile.”ŚB 10.22.41
Śrī Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: In this way, the gopīs, their minds absorbed in Śrī Kṛṣṇa, sang about His stealing of their garments, and their love for Him increased.ŚB 10.22.42
The Supreme Lord, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, who is always inclined to be merciful to His devotees, fulfilled their vow and granted them His eternal association.ŚB 10.22.43
The cowherd girls, having achieved the fruit of their austerity by the Lord’s mercy, returned to their homes, their minds fixed on Śrī Kṛṣṇa.ŚB 10.22.44
Śrī Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: Thus the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, whose lotus feet are served by all the demigods, enjoyed with the cowherd boys and the gopīs in the forest.ŚB 10.22.45
This incident of Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s stealing the gopīs’ garments is eternally celebrated by His devotees, who take pleasure in hearing and chanting about His transcendental pastimes.ŚB 10.22.46
Those who hear or narrate this pastime of Śrī Kṛṣṇa with faith and devotion quickly attain freedom from the bondage of material existence and achieve His supreme abode.
