SUMMARY:
------------------------------
I’m really excited to share this frank, energetic talk about defence preparedness and why it matters to every Aussie. As someone who coaches a group of 15-year-old boys on the Northern Beaches, I mix personal stories with hard-hitting observations about recruitment, retention and the broader societal readiness we need to face modern threats. I don’t just talk military hardware — I challenge our political leaders to be honest with the public about vulnerabilities across defence, intelligence and manufacturing. I raise recent incidents at sea, point to diplomatic tensions, and call for rebuilding local capability and leadership to protect our future. I’m blunt about failing institutions, the collapse of local manufacturing and the need for community awareness, while also celebrating the resilience and potential of young Australians. This video is a call to action: listen, share and join the conversation about the choices that will shape our kids’ future.

RUMBLE DESCRIPTION:
-----------------------------------
G'day — Lincoln Parker here. Thanks for joining me for a proper chat about defence preparedness, leadership and why our kids’ future matters. I run a program with about 15 young men around 15 years old down on the Northern Beaches in Harbourwood, and working with them is one of the most rewarding things I do. In this talk I weave those personal experiences with a broader look at national security — recruitment and retention in our defence force, societal readiness, and the political will (or lack of it) to tell Australians the hard truths.

I bring up recent confrontations at sea and diplomatic tensions and explain why they matter to everyday people, not just to Canberra insiders. I also flag a massive risk few want to discuss: we no longer manufacture much here, and that erosion of industrial capability is a real national security problem. You’ll hear my take on why we need leaders who will communicate plainly, rebuild capability and get the public on board.

This is not a polished policy lecture — it’s a straight-talking, local-to-national conversation. If you value our kids’ future, defence readiness or honest political leadership, watch and share. Leave a comment with your thoughts, hit follow for more conversations like this, and let’s start a practical conversation about what Australia needs to do next.
