‘Gulf region at risk’: Qatar seeks ‘collective response’ to Israeli attack

The UAE’s President Mohammed bin Zayed visited Doha a day after Israel’s strike, signalling Gulf solidarity.
In Riyadh, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman condemned the attack on Qatar, urging Arab, Islamic, and international action.
Qatar’s prime minister called the strike “state terror,” accusing Israel of killing hopes for a hostage deal and demanding Netanyahu face justice.
“There is a response that will happen from the region. This response is currently under consultation and discussion with other partners in the region,” he told US media outlet CNN on Wednesday, adding that “the entire Gulf region is at risk”.
Analysts warned that inaction could fuel instability across the region.
Protests spread to Pakistan, where demonstrators accused Israel of derailing peace talks.
European leaders also condemned the strike, calling for restraint and continued ceasefire negotiations.
The incident raises doubts over whether expressions of solidarity will translate into concrete regional action.
