Technique of the Week- Mobility Monday: Thoracic Bridge

Many people workout and do strength and cardio training. However, I’ve noticed that many people either forgo mobility and flexibility or do very little of it. These components are essential, especially as we age. In the following weeks, we’ll be posting a mobility or flexibility movement every Monday. Enjoy!

EVERYONE should be incorporating the Thoracic Bridge into their training regime. A few tips, corkscrew your hand into the ground and make sure that the shoulder is packed. Contract the glute on the same aside of the body with the hand on the floor. The idea is to have the hips parallel and the shoulders vertical. Leverage time under tension and strengthen the posterior chain and increase your mobility.
