The Village (Resident Evil)

Resident Evil Village is a 2021 survival horror game set three years after the events of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, primarily on February 9, 2021.
The story follows Ethan Winters, who, after starting a new life with his wife Mia and their newborn daughter Rosemary, is attacked by BSAA Captain Chris Redfield and his men. They murder Mia and kidnap Ethan and Rosemary.
After awakening from a crash outside a mysterious village, Ethan must traverse the dangerous, snow-covered village to rescue his daughter.
The village is governed by four powerful mutant lords—Lady Dimitrescu, a vampire; Donna Beneviento, a ghost-like entity; Salvatore Moreau, a grotesque "merman"; and Karl Heisenberg, who manipulates electromagnetic fields—each controlling a stronghold and holding a flask containing a part of Rosemary's body.
The ultimate antagonist is Mother Miranda, a witch-like ruler who orchestrated the events and seeks to claim Rosemary as her own.
The game blends survival horror with more action-oriented gameplay, featuring resource management, combat against various monsters, and a merchant named the Duke who sells upgrades and supplies.
It received generally positive reviews for its setting, graphics, and gameplay, though some criticized its puzzles, boss fights, and performance issues on certain platforms.
