🐕 The aviation security service's canine unit at the National Airport has welcomed new members – four-month-old German and Belgian Shepherd puppies. The puppies arrived at the National Airport Minsk from the kennel of the Canine Center of the Border Service of the Republic of Belarus.

The new furry recruits are going through a period of adaptation to the new environment and socialization within the airport terminal, getting acquainted with the work atmosphere and more experienced colleagues. Soon they will begin obedience and training courses, followed by training in detecting explosives, weapons, and ammunition. After mastering the skills related to their primary "profession," the snouted security officers will start their official duties. The training, obedience, and practice period takes up to eight months.

🔹This year, the canine unit of the Aviation Security Service at Minsk National Airport celebrated its 20th anniversary. The airport team is a multiple participant and prize-winner in the Belarusian championships for service dog competitions.
