There is a difference between Knowledge, Understanding and Wisdom.

[ Knowledge ] is awareness of information, facts, or truths.
- if one has knowledge and is knowledgeable, that means they have been made aware of certain information, facts or truths in regards to a particular thing (subject, topic etc...)
- this does not mean they have understanding but that particular facts have been made known to them and/or brought to their attention

[ Understanding ] means to receive knowledge and be able to comprehend why it is factual and true, through reasoning.
- Understanding is receiving clarity as to Why something works, in oppose to just knowing that it works.
- Understanding is receiving clarity as to Why something is the truth, in oppose to just knowing that it is the truth.
(there is a significant difference between knowing and understanding)

[ Wisdom] is when one becomes enlightened (made wise) through receiving understanding.
- Wisdom can be gained by applying Knowledge through experience (this is done through application, applying that which you know)
- Overtime through applying knowledge, you will see that - that which you hold to as truth, is indeed true!
- Wisdom also can be given by those capable (those that are wise), those who have applied knowledge, gained understanding and practiced/exercised it time after time after time again.
- For one to receive wisdom they must trust the source by which it is given and accept it as such (when applied they will find it to be the absolute truth!)

Wisdom is Given by God - Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. (Pro 4:7 KJV)
