Facebook Digital Asset Insurance Alliance (DAIA): Another Recovery Scam Hiding in Plain Sight?

I’m Danny de Hek, aka The Crypto Ponzi Scheme Avenger. My mission is simple: to shame scammers, expose Ponzi schemes, and protect everyday mum and dad investors from losing their savings to multilevel marketing bottom feeders and crypto fraudsters.

In this video, I’m uncovering the truth about the so-called Digital Asset Insurance Alliance (DAIA) — a “crypto recovery service” promoted through Facebook ads that looks professional on the surface but shows all the hallmarks of a classic recovery scam.

*WHAT WE FOUND*

DAIA claims to work with regulators and lawyers to help victims recover lost funds from crypto, forex, and trading scams.

- They promise immediate recovery if your case “matches an investigation.”
- Their Terms and Conditions look official but contain placeholders like “[Jurisdiction],” which no real legal contract would leave blank.
- They prey on victims who have already lost money, offering false hope of recovery.
- This isn’t just about DAIA — it’s about how Facebook profits from scam ads while failing to protect users. These platforms happily accept advertising money from fraudsters but ban people like me when I expose the truth.

*WHY THIS MATTERS*

Recovery scams are some of the cruelest cons out there. They don’t just steal your money once — they trick you into handing over more by selling you the false hope of getting it back.

The reality is, crypto recovery is almost impossible. At best, blockchain forensic specialists can trace where funds went, but they can’t retrieve them once they’ve been cashed out. If someone promises you quick recovery through Facebook ads, it’s a scam.

Platforms Profit While Victims Suffer

This isn’t just a DAIA problem — it’s a big tech problem.

- Facebook makes billions from ads but refuses to spend enough on protecting users.
- Scam ads could be easily flagged, but instead they’re pushed to vulnerable people.
- I’ve personally reported Facebook pages promoting scams (including Ponzi schemes with official government warnings), yet instead of removing them, Facebook banned my account after scammers maliciously reported me.

Think about that. I’ve been featured in the New York Times, appeared in a documentary, and was part of a Bloomberg investigation that ran for 10 months, but Facebook branded me the scammer. And there’s no way to speak to a human being to put it right.

The sad reality is platforms are profiteering off scam ads while silencing the people exposing them.

*FINAL WARNING*

If you’ve lost money to a scam, report it to your official financial regulator or law enforcement agency. Never trust a recovery service you discover through social media advertising.

“When platforms profit from fraud, they stop being neutral hosts and become part of the scam.”

Stay safe. Stay sceptical. And remember — NO SCAM.
