Professor Ian Brighthope discusses the importance of supporting the body with good nutrition and avoiding pollutants such as pesticide's, plastics, sugar and excessive amounts of pharmaceutical drugs.

He first studied Agriculture science, then did research in nutrition, and finally enrolled in Medicine. He graduated in 1974 and while enjoying the science in Medicine, he was shocked by the lack of information given to Medical students about how to boost the immune system with good nutrition and supplements.

He decided to practice a different style of medicine, promoting nutritional medicine. He formed the College of Nutritional Medicine, which became ACNEM and has been involved in the development of the National Institute of Integrative Medicine (NIIM).
