Shrimp Risotto (my first attempt); a 36 year old stove; and why my man cave is called the pink house

It was supposed to be a fireside attempt, but the rain pushed me inside my man cave, the pink house, for my first attempt at shrimp risotto. How will it be disaster or delight?
