Eagle Mountain, UT - On August 26, 2025, shortly after 1 a.m., an apartment fire broke out at the Willow Springs Condominium complex in Eagle Mountain. Building ‘J’, which had 12 condos, quickly went up in the flames and its occupants were displaced.

Additionally, an individual on the third floor was hiding in a closet and became trapped. Fire crews with the Unified Fire Authority were able to rescue them through the window. That individual was life flighted to the hospital with injuries.

The body camera footage shows deputies running up the stairs, going door to door, and knocking and calling out to ensure that everyone has gotten out of the building. At one point, they break down a door and smoke comes out. The deputies begin coughing, and fire can be seen engulfing the side of the building.

The entirety of the third floor was destroyed, along with significant water damage underneath. Fire officials confirmed the fire was out as of 6 a.m. on August 26. Many residents lost all of their belongings.

Jose Villarreal, a resident, said the Red Cross did pitch in to help, but was still upset about the fire. At the time, he said, “We don’t know what is going to happen next. It’s kind of heartbreaking.”

“We had our kids in our arms and basically everything else we could carry, and we just had to run out of our apartment,” Jaxon Adams, another resident, recalled, “As we ran out onto the street, we looked back, and we could see the roof was just on fire. And it was surreal, you know, looking up and just seeing all the smoke and these huge flames.”

Besides the individual who was trapped, there were no other injuries reported.
