Wind

Whistling softly through the night,
Guiding stars with gentle light.
Rushing fast, then fading thin,
You remind me where I’ve been.

Every current, every sway,
Carries pieces far away.
Though unseen, you shape it all,
From mountain peaks to rivers small.

Wind, you call, you carry me,
Across the land, across the sea.
Every whisper, fierce or kind,
Leaves your echo in my mind.
Wind, oh wind, forever near,
You speak the truths I long to hear.

Bending trees and shaking doors,
Racing wild along the shores.
Sometimes calm, sometimes loud,
Both a whisper and a crowd.

Even when the world is still,
You return to break the chill.
Restless spirit, wild and free,
