Bricks of silence rising high,
Shadows linger, they never die.
Every secret I try to hide,
Paints a story on the other side.

I built them tall, I built them strong,
Thinking they'd keep out the wrong.
But every stone I place in line,
Also cages what was mine.

Walls, they hold me, they break me apart,
Guarding my body, but stealing my heart.
Every layer I put in between,
Turns my freedom into unseen.
Walls, oh walls, can you hear me call?
I’m trapped inside your endless hall.

Hands reach out, but can’t get through,
A distant voice I once knew.
These towers echo all my fears,
Brick by brick, they built the years.

If I tear them down tonight,
Will I step into the light?
Or will I crumble with the stone,
Scared to face the world alone?
