Licentious

Licentious and licentiousness are big words found only once in the New Testament in the New American Standard translation. Debbie had a dream in which the Lord told her to deal with the licentious spirit. We did not even know what the word meant. So that started a Bible word study that is presented in this teaching.

A licentious person is someone who does not have a well developed internal moral compass. Because of that, they will do what is right if they think it will benefit them. But, if they think benefit will come from doing what is not right, then they will do that as long as they do not think they will get caught.

Now, most Christians in a huff of self-righteousness will claim that they would never act in a licentious way. You might be surprised at yourself and what you are doing that is licentious.

This teaching gives lots of examples for “good Christians” – you might identify with some of them. Listen to the end to catch them all.
