Extinguishes the arrows where we stand.

Are readiness for gospel truth and grace.

With every step, reflecting peace with God.

An earthly tool of power and of might.
A final weapon in a soldier's hand,
To conquer foes throughout the Roman land.

The Spirit's Sword, a Word divinely sent,
Is prayer and Scripture, heavenly intent.
