Season a Blackstone Griddle and make a Breakfast Hash with Todd Toven
Todd takes us to the Smoky Mountains to break in a brand new Blackstone 28" griddle, showing step by step how to season it for the perfect cook. Along the way, he whips up a hearty Tennessee breakfast hash to start the morning off right.

Ingredients
Cooking oil
2 cups diced onions
¼ cup diced green pepper
¼ cup diced red pepper
¼ cup diced yellow pepper
32 oz. diced hash brown potatoes (frozen or fresh)
12 oz. pre-cooked diced ham
1–2 tsp garlic paste or 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
Blackstone SPG seasoning
Fresh flat-leaf parsley, chopped
Directions
1. Preheat your Blackstone griddle to medium-high heat.
2. Drizzle cooking oil over the griddle surface. Add the onions and peppers, stirring occasionally until they begin to soften.
3. Add the potatoes and mix well. Cook until golden and crisp, adding more oil as needed. Push the vegetable mixture to one side of the griddle.
4. On the open side of the griddle, add the ham and garlic. Cook until the ham is heated through and the garlic is fragrant.
5. Combine everything together on the griddle. Season generously with SPG or your salt, pepper, and garlic blend.
6. Remove from the griddle, transfer to a serving dish, and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
7. Serve hot and enjoy!
