A Dr James Dobson Focus on the Family Story That Changed My Life Titled “Your Trophies Will End Up in the Trash. He started the Organization called Focus on the Family. He was one of the most powerful and influential figures in evangelical Christianity and impacted millions through books, radio and television. In this sermon Dr Dobson explains that “life will trash your trophies”. There is a big story behind this. Dr Dobson was a really good Tennis player and in college won the award for the best tennis player in his school two years in a row. He won that trophy that was displayed on his college campus for all to see. Many years later his friend found the trophy in a dumpster in back of the school. In this sermon Dr Dobson explains that “life will trash your trophies”. There is mazing life story in all this. The things we think are important just aren’t that important. It also gives us time to ask ourselves the question “what are you living your life for?”. He end the story telling us what really matters most. Dr James Dobson says “You know what will matter most? What will matter the most is who you loved, Who loved you, and what you did together in the service of the Lord. There is nothing else that will stand the test of time”. I hope this will challenge all of us to take a deeper look at our lives with eternity in perspective.
